2. Liquid Cleanse Diet (also known as the Master Cleanse Diet)
Promises a remarkable 20 pounds of weight loss in 10 days. It is a body-cleansing diet that cleanses the body of toxins, phlegm and mucus, while weight is being lost. This diet is also famous for taking a good amount of will power, with the first three days being especially difficult.
3.Three Day Diet
This is a popular short term diet that is recommended to only be used for three days. The diet is based on a sudden drop in calorie intake, but a lot of the weight loss will be from water weight. After the three days, regular eating can resume, followed by doing the diet again if needed. Exercise is not mentioned.
4. Hollywood Diet
The Hollywood Diet isn’t a true diet plan, but mostly a fasting with juice plan. It uses a specially formulated formula to lose five to 15 pounds in 24 to 48 hours, however a lot of this weight will be water weight.
5. Grapefruit Diet
The Grapefruit diet is about boosting metabolism by eating a lot of grapefruit. It promises 10 lbs of weight loss in 12 days if done right by eating grapefruit prior to meals and reducing calorie intake.
6. Cabbage Soup Diet
The Cabbage Soup Diet promises to help you lose ten pounds in a week and is known for being a good lead into a more moderate long-term diet. The diet consists of eating a cabbage soup along with a predetermined meal plan for seven days.
