Exercises to Tone and Flatten the Stomach

Ab exercises can help to tone and strengthen the stomach, but they won’t necessarily flatten the stomach. To get a flatter stomach, a combination of ab exercises, correct dieting, and regular cardiovascular exercises need to be performed.

The Reverse Crunch

The reverse crunch works the lower abs.

Bent-Elbow Plank

This exercise works the entire core. For beginners, these exercises can last for five seconds per set, with the goal of eventually being able to hod the position for 90 seconds without a break.

Bicycle Ab Exercise

This exercise works the obliques and the lower abs.

Standard Crunches

Standard crunches are good exercises to work the upper abs.

Like with any workout program, make sure to check with a doctor prior to starting.

I am constantly working out my abs, I even have a fitness product website. The only pain I have is finding it so difficult to cut back fat, most people have problem with the abs, but not me, just the back, and these are great ab exercises.

Thank you for the the informative videos. I have gotten completely away from any abs exercise that involve bending your spine (crunches). Planks, mountain climbers, roll-outs and jackknives are not only more effective, but safer.
