3 Summer Weight Loss Tips

summer fitness 300x199 3 Summer Weight Loss TipsIt’s almost that time of the year again when less is actually more—Summer! From gorgeous summer dresses to hot short shorts, from a pair of flattering bikinis to miniskirts, people are more than eager to say goodbye to their winter clothes and say hello to more skin. And nothing can make you look better in those skimpy tone outfits than a fit and well toned body. Show off skin with more confidence in these 3 summer weight loss tips.

Summer Weight Loss Tip #1: You Become What You Buy

When you’re at the grocery store; exercise self-control. Do not be lured into buying items that are not good for you. As tempting as they are, focus on the goal. If you want a hot bikini body, learn to say no to empty calorie foods. The sooner you get over this tiny hurdle, the easier it’s going to be for you.
Keep in mind that you become what you buy. The calories that are in the French fries you bought yesterday will be part of your waistline tomorrow. If you give in and buy foods that taste good, but won’t do you any good, you’ll end up eating it and regretting it after. To avoid temptation, never stock up on foods that are considered junk. You will hardly ever miss the things you don’t see.

Summer Weight Loss Tip #2: Un-think Diet, Think Lifestyle Change

Diet has always been associated with restrictions. This makes you all the more rebellious. By shifting your perspective and seeing it as a lifestyle change, the more motivated you’ll be. Unlike the word “diet”, “lifestyle change” has a more positive and lasting vibe. With a lifestyle change, you are overhauling your way of living and improving it for the better—permanently. It is not something seasonal or temporary. It is not just for the summer, but for life.

Lifestyle change is not just about counting calories and eating healthy. It is also about exercising regularly and being active. You’re sure to enjoy your new lifestyle change more if you include your friends. You’ll find that eating healthy and exercising regularly is less of a task and more of an adventure when done with the company of friends.

Summer Weight Loss Tip #3: Drink Water, Hydrate and Lose Weight

During summertime, you need water more than any other season. The hot, sweltering heat can easily cause parched lips, dry skin and worse, may cause dehydration. Aside from its hydrating effects, water is also great to drink when losing weight. It is filling at zero calories. Drink water an hour before a meal and you’ll end up feeling full. As a result, you will eat less. By filling up on water, not only are you doing your body a favor by hydrating yourself, but you are also cutting back on calories as well.

Follow these 3 summer weight loss tips and you’ll get the body you want, just in time for summer. Excited? You better be! With your confidence and a well-toned body, you’re sure to have your hands full in keeping people’s jaws from dropping.

Before you can even think about dieting, you should try to engage in some body exercises and always make a choice to eat healthy foods. Avoid unhealthy meals in your home or office environs and avoid being tempted to take meals containing more calories. Having a great urge to snacks is not a big deal but otherwise one should eat healthy foods of low calories. Frequent exercises and being much active makes it easy for you to reduce weight in the summer. Activities such as gardening, walking, bicycle riding and sometimes taking runs will form a big boost to the effects of dieting on your body.

These are great tips for the summer but they are also great to keep doing year round. I would also like to add that you are so right that water helps you to lose weight. because if you are dehydrated you may not even know it. Thats because the symptoms of being dehydrated is the feeling of being hungry so people eat when they should be drinking water.
